Sleigh Ride on Whyte Ave – December 21st, 1-5PM
Experience a unique way to get around Old Strathcona on Saturdays leading up to Christmas!
From 1pm to 5pm, ride around Old Strathcona in one of two horse drawn sleighs.
Get on and off at the multiple stop locations throughout Old Strathcona and feel great about supporting Parkinson Alberta.
Each family will receive a swag bag with products and information showcasing some of your favourite Old Strathcona businesses (while quantities last, one per family). Watch for the shuttle route map coming soon!

Candy Cane Lane – December 6-January 2nd
Edmonton’s Candy Cane Lane is visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors every Christmas season and it has become traditional for Edmontonians to flock to this West End Christmas Light and Decoration display every year. The sights and sounds of Candy Cane Lane instill the spirit of Christmas in all of us. The colourful light displays and unique decorations bring out the magic of the season for young and old alike. Christmas in Edmonton is not complete without a walk down Candy Cane Lane.
- When: The Lane will be up and running this year (2013) on December 6th until midnight January 2nd.
- Where: Candy Cane Lane is located at 148 Street between 100 Avenue to 92 Avenue Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Click here to view a map.
- How: The best way to enjoy Candy Cane Lane is to walk it if at all possible. It can get very congested at peak times such as on weekend nights just prior the Christmas and you can end up spending a lot of time in traffic. This causes accumulations of exhaust fumes which becomes unpleasant for the residents as well as for the walkers. Park it and walk it so we can all enjoy the fresh air or to make your sleigh ride reservation through our online scheduler.
- What: Please bring a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank. There are donation bins located all along the route for your convenience.

The 44th Annual Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree – December 20 @ 7PM @ Jubilee Auditorium
Imagine a stage ornamented with whimsy, a 35-foot singing Christmas tree, and an audience in wonder! Adorned with thousands of glimmering lights, filled with 150 heart-felt singers, all accompanied by a live orchestra in the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. This is Edmonton’s Singing Christmas Tree.
This one’s for the whole family! The Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree has become a tradition for thousands of families. Mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandmothers and grandfathers share in the soul-moving spectacular that leaves you filled with hope and joy!
Every year, The Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree Foundation donates all net proceeds to local charities, organizations and children in need. In addition to working with established local and global non-profits, the Foundation also supports individual causes throughout the City as a way of bringing Christmas year round to children in need through gifts, food and music education.

Sailin’ On Pop Up At the Buckingham! – December 19 @ 8PM
